Emma
Formally a primary school teacher, I’ve recently transitioned from teaching in the classroom to coaching in the gym. I didn’t enjoy PE at school and found team sports intimidating but discovering strength training in my forties completely changed my relationship with exercise. I found a fantastic Personal Trainer who inspired me, she made me realise that strong is beautiful and empowering. I learnt how to train with confidence and fuel my body properly.
Two years ago, I returned to study at Oxford Brookes University, undertaking a Sport, Coaching and Physical Activity degree, alongside completing my Level 3 Personal Training qualification. I was fortunate enough begin a work placement at The Project PT and then a coaching role, I could not have found a better suited workplace as their values strongly align with my own.
I am a strong advocate for supporting women like me in their forties navigating hormonal changes. Strength training has been transformative for me and I’m passionate about helping others feel confident, strong, empowered and happy in the gym!
When I am not in the gym or ferrying my children to their own sports, you might find me on the river rowing enjoying nature at its best!
