She/Her

My main role at the Project PT is Social impact coach. This role combines my passion for fitness and helping young people. I studied criminology at university, this led me to work with victims of abuse prior to working at The Project PT. This was a rewarding but demanding position. Working there emphasised to me the importance of movement. During this high stress time, movement kept me grounded. Now, more than ever we have to get moving for our mental health.

When I was younger, I was in the bottom set in PE and was never gifted athletically. I’ve seen young people like me get overlooked and they aren’t encouraged as much as the ‘sporty kids’. This is why I believe every young person deserves a chance.

Eventually I got into kayaking and from there discovered lifting weights. I was instantly hooked and felt empowered. Now I have gone on to complete an ultra-marathon and my training is focused on running and strength. I train for mental health, physical ability and my future self, not to please other people! My favourite activity outside of the gym is anything outside. And anything that involves a coffee shop…

I see the potential in every person because I was that person that wasn’t into sports.

I’ve seen how movement can help people and personal training gives me a chance to have that personal interaction with someone to enhance their experience of life by improving their physical and mental wellbeing.
